Paula has over 30 years experience of accounting and tax issues in practice and as a corporate in-house adviser.
Having trained and first time qualified with BDO in the City, Paula broadened her experience with KPMG in Brighton and Gatwick for the following 5 years. She spent the next 12 years with a large private group advising on tax, accounting and pensions issues, improving their tax result and obtaining a multi million £ tax repayment ultimately being promoted to group finance director. Throughout, she has always delivered a first class service to her clients and employers.
Development of On The Spot
With the HMRC trend towards on-line filing and knowing this is placing time pressures on the profession, Paula decided it was time to rethink the traditional tax service. It is clear a lot of time is wasted between a small business and its accountant in getting the accounts and tax return prepared and submitted with little change in the process for decades and not enough use made of the electronic facilities available. Combined with Paula's skill and experience of a high pressure high volume environment where time is critical, but quality isn’t undermined, she has put the small business first. And developed the on the spot service model.
